Raju Putuwar – Executive Director
Raju serves not only as the ED of the organization but he is the Founder too. Over 15 years of experience on the field of drug abuse, alcoholism and rehabilitation, he has committed his full time in providing service to hundreds of male addicts till date. A former drug user himself, he has been an example to many youth and all those who have received treatment from the center. Highly motivated by nature and confidence is what makes him special and loved by all. Raju never loses hope in times of turmoil and encourages all his staff to take one step at a time for change to happen. His goal and aspiration for Salvation Nepal is not limited to Kathmandu valley only but hopes to reach out to more needy people around Nepal through various outreach programs and more branches in the near future. He loves to travel and wishes to travel around Nepal on his bike after his retirement.
Mr. Rajendra Putuwar – Co-founder
Rajendra is not only the Co-founder of the organization but also works as a full time in-charge at the rehab. from the very beginning. Being a former drug user himself, he is well aware of the issues related to drug abuse and alcoholism. This is one of the reasons, he can handle all situations so diligently and confidently to run the center. He is the go-to person for anyone in the center and has built that trust among the clients and their families. He handles the day to day functioning of the center and does it with whole heartedly. He is an amazing artist and shows his creativity through his work. He also likes home pets and enjoys listening to music while carrying out chores.
Mr. Lawrence Lama – Program Coordinator
Lawrence works as a Program Coordinator and has expertise in coordinating all project related activities and manages legal documentation. He is a result-oriented community practitioner with expertise in counseling, research and project management. He holds a Master’s Degree in Humanities and Social Science. Lawrence comes from a background of having strong interpersonal skills and problem- solving abilities. His interest and hobbies include working for the public sector and underprivileged communities, team collaboration and learning new experiences, traveling and exploring new places and field visits and community work.
Ms. Archana Rai – Program Manager
Archana works as a Program Manager in the center since February 2025. She works as a part time staff at Salvation Nepal. She has Over 15 years of experience on development field with expertise on advocacy campaign, good governance, social accountability, public policy, regional cooperation. She has led a number of teams in supervision, strategic planning, team planning, government liaison and handling international relations. Confidence and experience in conducting and facilitating trainings and workshops on various issues using appropriate tools. She holds excellent communication and writing skills. Hands on experience on qualitative research in evaluation, stakeholder consultation process, advocacy strategy development process and data tabulation. Rich experience in data collection and data analysis of projects/programmes. She has expertise in facilitation and report writing. She loves to spend time at home with family and enjoys listening to music. She also likes listening to spiritual motivational videos online and learning new recipes.
Mr. Krishna Bahadur Thapa – Acupuncturist
Krishna works as an Acupuncturist in Salvation Nepal since the organization's establishment, 2015. He has been active in the field of HIV/AIDS and drug abuse prevention since 1990. He served for 23 years at St. Xavier Social Service Center, Freedom Center, Nepal's first reform center. With 34 years of rich experience, his contributions have made the campaign against HIV/AIDS and drugs in Nepal more powerful and effective. He has made significant contributions to this field through his leadership, knowledge and commitment. He also supports in maintaining administration of the organization. His hobbies include laying sports especially volleyball and football. He also enjoys travelling.
Mr. Prakash Awale – Finance Officer
Prakash holds a Master’s in business studies and has been with Salvation Nepal since 2018. He works as a part time staff at the center helping with all financial management of the project and in house transactions. He plays a key role by providing strategic guidance on finance-related matters to the organization. His contribution to manage the Risk Management System is excellent and he assists in preparation of Audit report. He oversees the accuracy and compliance of financial transactions and procedures in accordance with Partnership Agreement, Donor and Government. His hobbies include learning about budgeting and managing finances, reading simple finance articles. He also enjoys staying organized and exploring new ideas. In his free time, he likes watching inspiring documentaries, and discovering ways to grow in both professional and personal life.
